Effect of Size Polydispersity on Melting of Charged Colloidal Systems

We introduce simple prescriptions of the Yukawa potential to describe the effect of size polydispersity and macroion shielding effect in charged colloidal systems. The solid-liquid phase boundaries were presented with the Lindemann criterion based on molecular dynamics simulations. Compared with the Robbins-Kremer-Grest simulation results, a deviation of melting line is observed at small λ\lambda, which means large macroion screening length. This deviation of phase boundary is qualitatively consistent with the simulation result of the nonlinear Poisson-Boltzmann equation with full many-body interactions. It is found that this deviation of the solid-liquid phase behaviour is sensitive to the screening parameter

In the present work, we propose Y(4140)Y(4140) as the χc1(3P)\chi_{c1}(3P) state by studying the χc1π+π−\chi_{c1} \pi^+ \pi^- invariant mass spectrum of the B→Kχc1π+π−B\to K \chi_{c1} \pi^+ \pi^- process. In the DDˉD\bar{D} invariant mass spectrum of the B→KDDˉB\to K D\bar{D} process, we find a new resonance with the mass and width to be (4083.0±5.0) (4083.0 \pm 5.0) and (24.1±15.4) (24.1 \pm 15.4) MeV, respectively, which could be a good candidate of the χc0(3P)\chi_{c0}(3P) state. The theoretical investigations on the decay behaviors of the χcJ(3P)\chi_{cJ}(3P) in the present work support the assignments of the Y(4140)Y(4140) and Y(4080)Y(4080) as the χc1(3P)\chi_{c1}(3P) and χc0(3P)\chi_{c0}(3P) states, respectively. In addition, the χc2(3P)\chi_{c2}(3P) state is predicted to be a very narrow state. The results in the present work could be tested by further experiments in the LHCb and forthcoming Belle II.Comment: 6 pages, 3 figures, 2 table, published by Eur.Phys.J.
